Emily + Alex’s Food Truck Wedding Geelong
Emily and Alex’s Food Truck Wedding was a roller coaster of emotions! On the eve of their wedding, it was announced that from the 13th of February (their wedding day) Victoria was going in to a 5-day lockdown. Obviously not what any bride wants to hear the day before her wedding day! With this news, some tears were had but in true Emily and Alex style they were ready to move forward straight away and were lucky enough to secure our next available Saturday, 20th March 2021.
With blue skies for days, guests started arriving at the property with excitement of finally getting the two love birds down the aisle. Guests were welcomed to the styled food truck wedding with pre ceremony drinks by Boutique Event Co. The guests were then given notice to walk down to our River Red Gum to see the couples beautiful ceremony set up.
After the ceremony, the guests were welcomed back with cocktails and canapes. There was no shortage of food between finger food and the selection of food trucks at the wedding. Canapes (Capri Catering), wood fire pizza (Pizza Wagon Food Truck), paella (Paella Pan) and not to forget ice creams and sweets (Hippy Whippy Food Truck and family friends). The guests mingled while listening to Georgie signing acoustic tunes with Micky on the guitar, while the couple and their wedding party were off having photos by Ash Hughs.
After the photos, the couple had a quick break in the stables, getting down a drink and a bite to eat. Having the food trucks giving them some extra protection before the couple and their bridal party were announced back after their photos were taken into the courtyard. The Emily and Alex so opted to dive straight into it with their first dance that got the party started. This was then followed by speeches and a champagne tower.
The food truck wedding festivities continued into the barn for one of the biggest dance floors Rocklea Farm has seen. With family and friends Emily and Alex celebrated with no stop dancing for the rest of the night.
