Rustic Cocktail Farm Wedding – The wedding of Madison & Daniel
A story of young love that started in friendship, Maddie + Daniel first met in 2009 when Maddie, a year 8 student moved to a new school where she met Daniel in their shared homeroom class. This love story took until 2017 for them to realise they were meant to be! Just 5 years later over the Easter weekend in 2022, Maddie & Daniel took a trip to Portsea, Victoria where Daniel popped the questions at the London Bridge lookout on a local hike. With a big expressive “Yes” from Maddie, they were officially engaged!
Maddie, who had already chosen to get married at Rocklea Farm before the proposal, showed Daniel our venue and sharing the same styles and wants for their wedding day it was an easy decision to secure their date for December 2022.
Maddie – “We knew we wanted a food truck vibe with a beautiful ceremony area and Rocklea catered for everything we wanted. ”
With less then 12 months to plan their wedding, Maddie got to work straight away. Thankfully already doing pre-study for the occasion Maddie knew what she wanted and with their visions aligning they found the planning process relatively easy. With the help of our recommended Suppliers list and chatting with chosen suppliers, especially Kahani Marriage Celebrant, made it even easier to book suppliers they knew had worked together to ensure the day would ran smoothly. Maddie – “We had everything booked in 2 weeks”.
Maddie & Daniel’s wedding style was Modern Rusitc with loads of greenery and flowers.
Rocklea Farm provided all the Rustic charm they needed for their special day, combined with the stunning florist stylings of Rachelle from The Posie Place, achieving the Romantic Whimsical floral style Maddie wanted for their wedding.
Jump forward 8 months, Daniel stands patiently under the canopy of our big river red gum, surrounded by their loved ones, in a beige suit jacket with a matching vest and black pants that tie in with the black buttons running down his jacket. Daniel sees Maddie for the first time walking down the aisle in a form-fitting white dress that accentuated her figure with elegant fabric resting against her silhouette, a plunging V neckline and open with illusion tulle sides and a floral ivory lace partnered with a subtle train.
This emotional beginning to Maddie & Daniels Ceremony was met with one of Maddies favourite moments of her day, their personalised vows.
Maddie says “Daniel isn’t one to show a lot of emotion so hearing his words made a lot of people cry!! It’s so beautiful..”
Their most memorable moment as a couple was their couple portraits taken by the talented Jacob Heston Weddings, as this was the only time they could just be together and take in all the moments to themselves.
After their ceremony, their guests were greeted with a Rustic vibe brought to you by Rocklea Farm with a modern twist completed with Hiered-in furniture from Memphis Hire. Surrounding the courtyard were Gypsey Burgers – formally Gypseys FoodTruck – & The Paella Pan for their catering, and Havanah Caravan Bar for beverage service, all partnered with the acoustic performance of Issac Main to complete the aesthetic.
Maddie & Daniel’s wedding was a vision of perfection with all their dreams and wants all coming together in a nice little bow, just like the ones on Maddie’s dress. After many emotions, kind words, photos and mingling among friends and family, Maddie & Daniel shared their first dance – Cinema by Gary Go – and then danced the night away.
Maddie’s words of wisdom are “Ask your suppliers/vendors (celebrants, MCs, photographers) on who they would recommend because if everyone works together well then your day will show that. You don’t have to always go with whoever they suggest, however, more times than most they will suggest the best fit for your day. Secondly, Just go with the flow on the day, there is always going to be little hiccups but they won’t change the big picture. But most importantly BE YOURSELF and have fun and take in all the moments”
